Boshan is the Co-Founder of CICRA Group of Companies. A strong activist in cyber security, he has represented CICRA at the annual ‘Cyber Endeavor’ and ‘Senior Communicators Forum’ of the Multinational Communications Interoperability Program of the US Pacific Command during the past five consecutive years. Having served in top corporates such as MAS Holdings, The Finance & Guarantee Company and Singapore Informatics, he has a wealth of business and management experience for over 22 years. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Colombo. He was Sri Lanka’s top tennis player during 1995-1996.

Vasana is a journalist, lawyer, civil society activist and an academic. He is the Group Executive Director of CICRA Holdings and had been instrumental in development of the Executive Masters’ Degree in Mass Communication. He has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Colombo (2001) and MA in Journalism from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines (2005). He has studied Media Law and Advocacy at the University of Oxford (2006) and Communication and Governance Reform at the World Bank Institute and the University of Annenberg (2011) in Washington DC. He passed out as an Attorney-at-Law with Honours from Sri Lanka Law College (2000). During a fundamental rights violation petitions that he appeared for, the Supreme Court recognized the Right to Education as a fundamental right of Sri Lanka. Vasana has served as a member of the bi-annual Asian Forum on Journalism initiated by the Asian Center for Journalism, Philippines. He also served as the Vice President of Society of Asian Journalists. A promoter of media self-regulation, Vasana served as the first Complaints Officer of the Press Complaints Commission of Sri Lanka (2003-2005) and served as the Secretary to the Code of Ethics Review Committee (2005). He also served as the Program Manager of the Advanced Certificate Program in Journalism at the Open University of Sri Lanka. He was a Hary Brittain Fellow of the Commonwealth Press Union (2003) and Konrad Adenauer Fellow (2004-2005).

Dr. Ruvan Abeysekara is an experienced IT professional with comprehensive expertise in HR management, project management, lecturing, consultation and management skills in both Face-to-Face (F2F) and Distance environments, IT policy and curriculum development, Distance/ Multimedia learning content development, business information processing, enterprise application integration (EAI), systems integration, requirements analysis, workflow design, project management, leadership, process modelling, testing/ quality assurance, software development, customer service and vendor relationships etc. Currently he is serving in different capacities for many reputed higher education organizations in the state sector and private sector of the country. Ruvan obtained his PhD in Computer Science and Technology from Dalian Maritime University, China and holds a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing. In addition to his academic qualifications, Ruvan holds number of industry and professional certifications. He holds the membership of number of organizations such as The Institute of Doctors Engineers and Scientists, Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, British Computer Society, Chartered Institute for IT, Computer Society of Sri Lanka, Australian Computer Society etc. Also, Ruvan is a Microsoft Certified Peer Coacher and Cisco Certified Instructor. Dr. Manjula Sandirigama is a Senior Lecturer at Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of University of Peradeniya. He is also an Attorney-at-Law (Sri Lanka) with an expertise in IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). He is involved in IPR awareness and policy drafting programs and consultancies for students, academic and industry sector., and he is a rare resource on IPR in Sri Lanka. Dr. Sandirigama obtained his PhD in Computer Science from University of Ehime, Japan in 2001 after obtaining MSc in Computer Science from the same university in 1998. He obtained his BSc in Electrical Engineering from University of Peradeniya in 1991. From 1991 to 1996, he was working as an engineer in the national telecommunication provider Sri Lanka Telecom. Secure Communication Protocols is the primary expertise of Dr. Sandirigama and he shows keen interest in Cryptography and legal aspects of technology due to his rare blend of expertise in technology and law. Dr. Sandirigama has authored the book ‘Intellectual Property for Scientists and Technologists’ In addition to his regular contributions in research and development aspects of the computer science and engineering.

A seasoned academic with over 16 years of experience in higher education. He has extensive experience in working with many foreign and local universities, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that arise in a diverse and multicultural academic environment. He is well-versed in maintaining academic quality and overall management of university programs, ensuring that students receive the best possible education. As a Senior Lecturer in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our institution. He has worked on curriculum development both for state and foreign university programs, and he is passionate about designing courses and programs that are relevant, engaging, and responsive to the needs of students and the wider community. He is a professional member of the Chartered Institute for IT in the UK, and has obtained a MSc in IT from the University of Colombo School of Computing and a MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University in the UK. He is currently pursuing M.Ed. from Lincoln University Malaysia and Ph.D. in Management at the University of Colombo, highlighting his commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

He has successfully gathered many professional qualifications ; Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor, PCI – DSS v3.2 Implementer, ITIL V3 Foundation, AWS Business Professional, BS 10012:2017 Lead Implementer in line with GDPR, Advanced Certificate Course in Cyber Law – BASL.

Shihar is an ambitious journalist/ writer who wants to go an extra mile for a good piece of information to the public and holds more than 15 years of experience in journalism. Currently he is the Bureau Chief for Sri Lanka & Maldives of REUTERS News Agency, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Before joining Reuters, Shihar has worked for Art Television, a local English Channel, Associate Newspaper of Ceylon (Lakehouse) as a journalist/ research analyst. Shihar holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines and a Diploma in Multimedia Journalism from the same university. Also, he holds a Bachelor of Agriculture majoring Agriculture Economics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Shihar has been extensively engaged in journalism training and education since 2007 through various journalism education institutes.

Shan has over 17 years of experience in Software Industry. He has served more than 10 years in Mobile Computing and played a key role in engineering products, which has won many local & international awards. Other areas of his interest are Font Technology, Mobile Security and IoT. He serves as an External Advisor to the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka addressing local language issues in various platforms (Sinhala and Tamil languages on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) since 2006. Shan has been a Juror of mBillionth Award Grand Jury at the South Asian Mobile Conference in 2010/2011. He has been commended at the GSMA Global Mobile Awards in 2007 and awarded winner of GSMA Asia Mobile Innovation Award for best mobile application or content in 2006. Mohamed Kiyasudeen is the Senior Manager – Information Security of Amana Bank, Sri Lanka since 2013. Prior to that he served at the Dubai Bank in the UAE for over seven years, as the IT Security Engineer/Specialist. He possesses 20 years of experience in the IT and over 12 years in the Cyber Security industry. Mohamed Kiyasudeen is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Cisco Certified Specialist – Security, Certified ISO 27001:2013 ISMS Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor. Viraj is an Avid GNU/Linux user and promoter. He Has 16 years of industry experience in building Linux based systems onshore and offshore. He contributed enlarge to the Linux evolution in Sri Lanka. He also contributes for the development of various technology domains such as Internetworking, Open Source Software, Security Best Practices, Systems Interoperability, Cloud Computing and Mobility etc. Viraj has worked for several local and global IT organizations for number of years and moved as an initiator and a trend-setter in new technology businesses. Currently he serves as the Founder/ CTO of Rype3 Ltd, a leading Sri Lankan Cloud company. Chamil Abeygoonasekara is the Associate Lead – Virtualization at Pearson and he leads the Virtualization team based in Sri Lanka. IT systems infrastructure management with the emphasis into virtualization is the strongest suite of Chamil which he has more than six (6) years of industry experience. Chamil holds a BSc in Engineering and a PGDip in Computer Science from the University of Moratuwa. Also, he holds a Higher Diploma in Information Technology from University of Colombo. haritha has served in the software development industry for more than 8 years and currently holds the position of Associate Technical Lead at TIQRI (PVT) Ltd. He had the opportunity to gain a numerous experience in the industry since he started his career as a Junior Software Engineer at Virtusa in 2009. Charitha is well equipped with strong technical skills in programming and programming languages, web development, mobile programming and database management systems. Charitha holds MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Moratuwa. He also holds a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa.

Dr. Ruwan Wickramarachchi is a Senior lecturer at the Department of Industrial Management, University of Kelaniya. He holds BSc in Industrial Management from the University of Kelaniya and MPhil in Management studies (specialised in Information systems) from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He received his PhD in distributed simulation from the Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. Dr. Wickramarachchi is an expert in the areas of management information systems, electronic commerce and operations management. He has over 40 research publications and his research findings are published in international journals, conferences and symposia. Upul Dassanayake is a dynamic entrepreneur, management consultant and a trainer who has over 18 years of experience in Education and have qualifications in diverse areas such as IT, Management and Accounting. He is currently attached to International Trade Centre, United Nations as the National Consultant providing high level strategic advice and guidance to increase the trade competitiveness of small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) especially ITO/ BPO companies in developing countries in general and Sri Lanka in particular. Upul also has served in Sri Lanka’s apex ICT association, Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) as the President of its Education and Training Chapter and was instrumental in initiating several high impact ICT projects. Also, he has functioned as the Co-Chairman of Sri Lanka’s premier and the biggest ICT exposition – INFOTEL 2017. Upul obtained his first degree in management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and received master’s degree in Information Technology from the Keele University, UK. Kanishka is a renowned entrepreneur and a determined promoter of entrepreneurship among professionals. He has won the ICT Entrepreneur of the Year Award by National Best Quality ICT Award (NBQSA) in both 2018 and 2015. and ICT Leader of the year 2018 at CSSL awards. In addition, he has won number of excellence awards for his contributions in the ICT domain. Having started his career as a software engineer, Kanishka has fast-tracked the ladder becoming the Chief Information Officer of Laugfs Holdings in a short period of time. Meantime, he has maintained his enthusiasm in education as a visiting faculty for number of education organizations and now holds more than 18 years of experience in IT education. Kanishka holds an MSc in HRM from the Asia e University (AeU), Malaysia, MBA from University of Manipla, India and Bachelors degree in IT form the University of Colombo. He is currently a member of the British Computer Society and a Chartered IT professional. Prof. Theodore is a senior academics with more than 30 years of experience in the media and communication domain. His PhD is on media/ peace studies from the University of Dublin. He has earned an MA in Broadcast Communication from the University of Philippines, a BSc in Arts from the University of Peradeniya and a BSc in Theology from the Urbana University, Rome. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in women studies from the University of Colombo. Prof. Theodore is a senior lecturer of the Open University of Sri Lanka and has held number of academic positions in local and global academic organizations. His immense contributions towards the field of communications includes research publications, book chapters and concept papers on media, gender and conflict resolution. Charitha is well equipped with strong technical skills in programming and programming languages, web development, mobile programming and database management systems. Charitha holds MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Moratuwa. He also holds a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa.

Dilrukshi is a versatile global expert in mass communication with over 20 years of experience as a journalist, media trainer and strategist. She served as the consultant editor of the Daily and Weekend Express newspapers until recently. At present, she serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Investigative Reporting Sri Lanka. She is the Gender Focal Point of the International Federation of Journalists – Asia Pacific and the Co-Convener of South Asian Women in Media- Sri Lanka Chapter. She contributes to a range of reputed outlets including Jazeera, IRIN, Anadolu, Reuters Alertnet, mongabay.com and and SciDev.Net. Dilrukshi was a Jefferson Fellow and a Democracy Fellow. A lawyer by training, Dilrukshi studied investigative journalism at the Stabile Center at Columbia University, USA and Writership from the School of Authentic Journalism, Mexico. A trainer certified by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), she has trained journalists in many countries and has served as a resource person/ visiting lecturer at premier education institutes. A recipient of several journalism experience awards, Dilrukshi won the Mervyn Silva Journalist of the Year Award 2012 presented by the Editors’ Guild of Sri Lanka. She was a member of the SciDev.Net’ Asia team’s that won the best science journalism story on the world wide web presented by the Association of the Britsh Science Writers in 2005 for the post tsunami coverage in the region. In 2014, she won the prestigious WASH Media Award presented by the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) and the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) for reporting excellence under the ‘monitoring commitment category.’

Nimal is the Chairman and CEO of a leading integrated marketing communications enterprise that he founded in 1993, following wide experience in marketing and advertising, and contributes also as its Chief Strategist and Coach. He has 45 years of experience in marketing and communications. Prior to starting his own agency, he was CEO of JWT Colombo following ten years with Reckitt & Colman where he rose to being Marketing Director, and a stint with AFS Intercultural Programs New York where he was Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. His Agency Strategic Alliance was affiliated to several global communications networks including Bates (in advertising) and Burson-Marsteller (in PR). He is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds professional memberships also in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations – UK, American Marketing Association, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and American Chamber of Commerce. He has been a Past President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and was Founder President of the revived ad industry body, the Four A’s. Nimal is also a well-regarded lecturer, trainer and edutainer in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, and a composer and jazz & blues pianist. He recently launched his reputation management and advocacy consultancy for responsible brands and environmental and social issues, NGage Goodvocacy. Upul also has served in Sri Lanka’s apex ICT association, Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS) as the President of its Education and Training Chapter and was instrumental in initiating several high impact ICT projects. Also, he has functioned as the Co-Chairman of Sri Lanka’s premier and the biggest ICT exposition – INFOTEL 2017. Upul obtained his first degree in management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and received master’s degree in Information Technology from the Keele University, UK. Also, he holds number of professional certifications in accounting and management. Viraj has worked for several local and global IT organizations for number of years and moved as an initiator and a trend-setter in new technology businesses. Currently he serves as the Founder/ CTO of Rype3 Ltd, a leading Sri Lankan Cloud company. He serves as an External Advisor to the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka addressing local language issues in various platforms (Sinhala and Tamil languages on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) since 2006. Shan has been a Juror of mBillionth Award Grand Jury at the South Asian Mobile Conference in 2010/2011. He has been commended at the GSMA Global Mobile Awards in 2007 and awarded winner of GSMA Asia Mobile Innovation Award for best mobile application or content in 2006. He is also BCS (British Computer Society) Gold Award winner in Communication Applications Category in 2005. Shan is a Lecturer at the Informatics Institute of Technology and has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, India.
