Dr. Ranjan Madanayake
Dr. Ranjan Madanayake is a hands-on Marketing Professional with over 45 years of experience. His commitment and dedication helped him reach the highest positions in the corporate world and in academics.
In his working life he has worked in over 25 Groups and over 60 different companies and handled several hundreds of brands of products and services. He has been in all areas of marketing such as Business-to-Business, Business-to-Customer, FMCG, Industrial, Services and Social Marketing. He also ran a small Marketing Communications company.
Beginning his career as a Trainee Sales Representative, he has held many positions such as sales Officer, Sales Manager, Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, General Manager, Director, Managing Director, CEO, and Consultant in Marketing & Management.
He is the author and co-author of 5 books published in different parts of the world:

He has over 100 articles published in several newspapers, magazines and journals in many parts of the world. He has presented papers in international conferences and seminars. He is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Management.
His passion is writing, to share knowledge and experience gathered over several years, as he puts it: “in identifying, creating, retaining and growing markets”.
Following his path-breaking paper ‘Positioning Triangle’ presented in India and worldwide webinar conducted by the Canadian institute of Marketing, he pioneered the ‘VPS Matrix’, and recently he launched his latest business model ‘Growth Strategies – The Composite Model, Madanayake Matrix’.
